What is FYCC?
Forget Your Credit Card is not a bank, not a savings app, and not an investment. You pick a monthly amount. Stripe bills it. Confirmed payments become Lifetime Forgotten. If you opt in, that Lifetime is your public score.
How subscriptions work
Amounts are monthly and recurring: $1 · $5 · $10 · $25 · $50 · $100 · $500 · $1,000. You choose one on /forget. Checkout is Stripe. The software never trusts a Price ID from the browser. A $10,000 amount is not offered. See amounts and Terms.
What "forgetting" means
Forgetting means the charge happens on purpose and then you are not asked to think about it — unless the rank moves. It does not mean the money comes back. It does not mean we hide the cancel control.
How Lifetime is calculated
Lifetime Forgotten = the sum of successful Payment amounts for your account (USD cents). Not the button you clicked. Not a number you type. Not active subscribers times a monthly price. One Stripe invoice can only count once.
How the leaderboard works
Unlike a traditional leaderboard, FYCC ranks people by the total amount they have actually paid over time. Population: not deleted, public visibility on, username set, Lifetime greater than zero. Sort: Lifetime descending, then earlier Forgetter number. Hidden accounts are not listed. Email is never listed.
There is also a separate monthly ranking among eligible active subscriptions (status active only), used for status such as Top 1%. That monthly ranking is not the public Lifetime board.
How to join the leaderboard
Pay, then opt in. Default is hidden. On Account or Your Forget, choose a username and join. No username, no public row.
How ranking changes
Rank changes when confirmed payments change Lifetime for public Forgetters, or when someone joins, hides, or is deleted. Checkout success is not a rank. The webhook is.
How payments affect Lifetime
Each successful invoice adds its paid amount. Failed payments do not. Stopping the subscription later does not rewind Lifetime. Lifetime is history.
How to stop the subscription
STOP FORGETTING on the dashboard asks Stripe to cancel at period end. You stay in rank until that period ends. Account deletion is different: eligible Stripe subscriptions cancel immediately, you leave the public board, the Forgetter number is retired. Details: Terms and Privacy.
Lifetime amount vs monthly subscription
Monthly amount is what Stripe is trying to charge this period if the subscription is active. Lifetime is everything already collected. The public board uses Lifetime. You cannot pay a Lifetime gap as if it were a custom Price. You can only pick a live monthly amount again.
Privacy / public identity
Public fields, if you opt in: username, optional display name, project, website, X handle, category, Lifetime, current monthly amount if active, rank, title, badges. Never email, user id, or Stripe ids. You can hide again. Deleted accounts are not listed.
